This course will introduce the student to the theory of client types and client analysis. This is achieved through the exploration of topics related to client types how to identify them and developing strategies through analysis to the design requirements of them and their audiences.

Topics include: Client Types: Who and Why; What are the differences and do they raise design issues; Design analysis for formulation of Strategies; Target Markets : Analysis of clients markets is the actual the same as the perceived; Analysis issues: monolithic & endorsed verses branded business what client types fit these categories and are there over laps; Defining Strategies; Assessment of strategies - should they be flexible as clients businesses evolve.
