This course is designed to provide an overview of the design industry and the interrelationship of the various design practices. This will provide a context in which to place the more specific nature of the professional subjects.
Topics include: Design industry history and development, and its relationship to the community and society; Individual design practices their relationship to one another; The relationship between business practice and creative, conceptual practice; The implications of the future of the design industries and the use of digital technology.
